This workshop focuses on the ethical, legal, and clinical issues relevant to the practice of telepsychology. Clinical and technological competence, interjurisdictional practice, use of social media, treatment technology selection, planning for and responding to crises and emergencies, and managing the challenges of online practice will each be addressed.  This workshop will fulfill the Ethics requirement.

Program Objectives
At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:

1. Describe the various technological innovations that may be used to enhance the delivery of clinical services;
2. Explain the ethics pitfalls relevant to integrating various technologies into clinical practice; and
3. Articulate the legal requirements for providing psychotherapy via the Internet.

CREDITS OFFERED: 3 Continuing Education Credits for psychologists and educators. 

The Pennsylvania Psychological Association is approved by the American Psychological Association to offer continuing education for psychologists.  PPA maintains responsibility for this program and its content.  The Pennsylvania Psychological Association is an approved provider for Act 48 Continuing Professional Education Requirements as mandated by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
