One (1) Home Study Continuing Education Credits (75% score or higher required)
This program will address the assessment of suicide intent, identifying the various elements of intent, along with the critical distinction between acute and chronic suicide risk. Domains covered include the nature of suicidal thinking, motivational, trait suicidality, and suicide-oriented behavior. Clinical examples and video will be provided, along with targeted interventions across domains. This workshop will fulfill Act 74 requirements.
Program Objectives
At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:
1. Become comfortable assessing multiple domains of suicide intent/motivation to die;
2. Differentiate acute and chronic suicide risk; and
3. Learn a number of clinical management interventions demonstrated useful for responding to motivation to die.
