S01 - Understanding the Licensure Process in Pennsylvania 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm Presented by: Molly Cowan, PsyD; Rachael Baturin, MPH, JD This workshop will review the State Board of Psychology's education and experience requirements for obtaining licensure in Pennsylvania. In addition, it will discuss the PPLE and EPPP. There will be time for participants to ask questions. S02 - Panel Discussion: Navigating Internship and Exploring Areas of Practice 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm Presented by: Molly Cowan, PsyD; Rachael Baturin, MPH, JD This workshop will provide a brief overview on how to navigate the internship process. Also, it will provide an overview on the different areas that psychologists practice. Panelists will provide information on what it is like to provide services in the forensic setting, opportunities for prescribing psychologists, what it is like to work in the school setting, and providing neuropsychological assessments/services. S03 - Practical Considerations for Starting a Psychology Practice 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm Presented by: Molly Cowan, PsyD; Rachael Baturin, MPH, JD This workshop will highlight practical issues that arise when starting a private practice. The discussion will focus on type of practice, type of business structure, promoting your business, insurance or no insurance, informed consent forms, release of information, etc. There will be time for participants to ask questions.
