How to Ethically Respond to a Subpoena or Court Order

Workshop Summary: Psychologists often find themselves being pulled into their patients’ legal battles. This workshop will help psychologists understand how to respond to record requests from the courts and various agencies. Participants will learn how to distinguish between a court order and subpoena and understand the proper way to respond to these legal requests. There will be opportunities for participant interaction.
Program Learning Objectives: At the end of the workshop the participants will be able to

2. Describe how to respond to a request for records
