This home study reviews basic information about physical abuse (serious bodily injury) in Pennsylvania and presents clinical information that could lead health care professionals to suspect physical abuse. This home study supplements required courses under Act 31, but it cannot be used to fulfill Act 31 requirements.
At the end of this workshop the participants should be able to:
1. Define physical abuse in Pennsylvania; and
2. Identify clinical signs suggesting possible physical abuse.
