Poverty is a complex system that involves more than just the lack of money. Instead, poverty is associated with poor health, poor decision making, and other factors which make for unique considerations when conducting psychotherapy with patients who live in poverty.  This home study reviews some of these factors and describes urges psychologists to consider them when conducting psychotherapy.
