Workshop Description

            This home study reviews basic information about serious mental injury (emotional abuse) and neglect in Pennsylvania and presents clinical information that could lead health care professionals to suspect emotional abuse or neglect. This home study supplements required courses under Act 31, but it cannot be used to fulfill Act 31 requirements. 

Learning Objectives

            At the end of this workshop the participants should be able to:       

           

1.      Describe Pennsylvania law concerning serious mental injury and neglect; and

2.      Identify clinical signs suggesting possible serious mental injury or neglect.
